We believe every bus has a story. From brand-new deliveries rolling out of the factory to well-loved veterans reaching the end of their service, every vehicle deserves to be recorded and remembered. That is what BusOva is all about.
Every great journey starts with a single step. Here is how BusOva came to be.
After weeks of early development and testing under a different name, BusOva.com was officially registered and the platform found its identity. A home for bus enthusiasts was born.
The core platform took shape: user accounts, bus records, photo galleries, operator and manufacturer databases, achievements, and the admin tools to keep everything running smoothly.
Thousands of bus records were added, photo captions and ownership tracking went live, and the platform was polished with dark and light theme support across every page.
BusOva's Live Tracker went live, bringing real-time bus positions, stop departure boards, route timetables, and a live map powered by 390,000 stops and over 71 million departure records.
BusOva continues to grow every day, shaped by the ideas and contributions of its community. New features, new tools, and new ways to enjoy our shared passion are always on the horizon.
At its heart, BusOva is a shared database and archive. We document individual vehicles, fleet histories, operators, manufacturers, models, chassis types, engines, registrations, fleet numbers, and technical details, alongside photographs that capture buses throughout their working lives.
But BusOva is more than just data. It is a community. Our members contribute their knowledge, share their photographs, and help each other fill in the gaps. Every correction, every new record, and every photo uploaded makes the platform better for everyone.
We also offer a Live Tracker section where you can search for bus stops, view live departure boards, explore route timetables, and watch buses move in real time on an interactive map.
Buses change operators, liveries, and configurations. Eventually they leave service altogether. Recording this information helps preserve a living history of public transport before it is lost.
